Visit to an abandoned guest house in Emek Hefer
For decades, the Ya'ari guest house served as a vacation spot for state employees until it was closed and abandoned. As a result, the place has become a ghost hotel. I went out to see how time seemed to stand still.
The Yaari guest house was built in the 1950s, designed by the architect Rudolf Trostler adjacent to Moshav Bitan Aharon in Emek Hefer. The hotel occupies an area of 68 dunams. For decades the place was full of happy and lucky vacationers, family members of civil servants - but now the hotel is deserted with many signs of homelessness
During the time there I felt I felt that I enter the time tube going back to those years; passing down the narrow corridor I notice a row of doors from a distant period and a party lifestyle that has disappeared from the world.
I walk cautiously and decide to enter the room 706 randomly. The door opens lightly, is a basic room for a couple, and with a little renovation and maintenance it can accommodate those who are not afraid to wake up with ghosts.
Suddenly I'm roused by a rasping noise and the heart falls to my heart, which seems frozen in time.
